Set and follow a bedtime. It provides two huge benefits.&nbsp;1) Getting 7 hours of sleep is the best thing you can do for your life.&nbsp;It improves your cognition, happiness, longevity, productivity, metabolism, and immune system.&nbsp;2) It allows you to set aside 30 minutes for you time each morning.&nbsp;30 minutes to do what you want is a life hack to happiness, self-improvement, and life satisfaction.&nbsp;To determine your bedtime first figure out what time you need to wake up to spend 30 mins. for yourself then get you &amp; any dependents ready for the day.&nbsp;Second, work backward 8 hrs. from that time. This allows 30 minutes to get ready for bed &amp; read and 7.5 hrs. for sleep.&nbsp;

Thomas Edison (1847 to 1931) is widely regarded as the greatest inventor to ever live. However, he did not have the scientific degrees one would assume they first need. In fact, Edison only received a few months of schooling, the rest came from his mother and books he could find. Edison's main method of learning came from trial and error. The Story of The Tree and The Vine... In each one's life, they own a success tree. It is all their ambitions, dreams, abilities, talents, and goals. However, there is also a vine. A vine of all the responsibilities and duties that make up life. Most believe that if they just work hard enough to prune back the vine eventually it will diminish and they will have time to foster the growth of their success tree. People work their whole life to maintain this vine, yet no matter how hard they work the vine sprouts more branches and takes nearly all their time. Their tree receives little attention and thus slowly withers away. Some, however, know the only way to maintain the vine is to first foster the growth of the tree. Each morning they water, protect, and cultivate the tree allowing it to steadily grow each day. Once they've adequately cared for the tree, they turn their attention to the vine. Taking Care of Yourself vs. Your Responsibilities

It's a message most of us have a hard time believing. However, it does not mean it's any less true. The greats, the successful, the people you look up to are no more capable than you. They weren't gifted with some ability or intellect you don't have. Go look up their stories if you don't believe me. Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Muhammad Ali, George Washington, Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, Agatha Christie, Madam C.J. Walker, Andrew Carnegie, Rory McIlroy, David Goggins, Madonna, and Harrison Ford all were not destined for greatness. Instead, they willed their way to success, every last one of them. You don't have to be great if you don't want to, but please don't buy for one second that you aren't able. You can have whatever you want from this life. If you understand the biggest obstacle in your way is your brain telling you that you can't. You must remember above all else, your brain wants to keep you safe. And from your brain's perspective going for it is the opposite of safe. Yes, there are more immediate hardships when you put yourself out there, but there are far more peaks as well. In the end, you won't have to deal with the worst hardship of all, regret for playing it safe. The thing those on their deathbed regret the most. You are Infinitely Capable, the question is Will You Realize It?

We spend most of our lives worried about what will happen if we do this or if we make an errant step. We worry, worry, worry. We spend so much time worrying we end up doing nothing. However, in those instances when we do go for it, our worries rarely come to fruition. And when they do, they are not nearly as bad as our brain made them out to be. So Try This Instead... Be okay if the bad thing happens. If it does you are more than capable of dealing with it. However, more likely than not, that terrible outcome only existed in your mind.
